Studio Spotlight: ALBION NORD

Every now and then, I come across a design studio that completely shifts how I think about interiors. Albion Nord is one of those studios. Their work feels effortlessly timeless—rooted in British heritage but layered with modern warmth and subtle restraint. What resonates most with me is their philosophy: that beautiful interiors should feel soulful and lived in, not like polished showpieces.

It’s a belief that shows up in every project they touch—through natural textures, deep, comforting color palettes, and a sense of balance that makes a room feel both grounded and inspiring.

Benham Park: Georgian Grandeur, Reimagined

Benham Park, a Georgian estate in the English countryside, could have easily been treated as a museum piece. Instead, Albion Nord breathed new life into it, marrying classical proportions with a quietly modern sensibility. Think warm timber floors, collected art, and upholstery that invites you to sink in rather than stand back.

There’s a relaxed elegance to it all—each space feels curated but never contrived. You sense history in the architecture, but comfort in the way the rooms actually live. It’s the kind of project that makes you want to linger and notice the details: a well-worn rug, a stack of books on a marble table, the way morning light moves across muted walls.

Britannic Explorer: Design That Travels

And then there’s the Britannic Explorer—a luxury sleeper train transformed into a moving study in storytelling and craftsmanship. Albion Nord managed to translate the atmosphere of an English country house into a series of train carriages, without losing a sense of adventure.

Each compartment tells a story through texture and tone: rich leathers, aged brass, wool, and walnut—all beautifully considered, yet built for movement. It’s proof that design doesn’t have to stay still to be immersive.
