The Dining Room

BROOKLYN, NY

The dining room isn't a separate room—it's part of the main living area, which meant creating clear zones to distinguish dining from living. Essential in city apartments where every space does double duty. Our dining table made the move from California—its grand scale anchors this end of the room and claims the space as its own. Dropping pendant lights over the table (replacing builder-grade recessed lighting) reinforced the boundary, marking this as the dining zone visually and functionally.

Still refining—art for the walls, perhaps a rug to define the zone further, and possibly swapping the chairs for something with more contrast (although I do love these chairs).

New Construction Brooklyn Condo Dining Room

The dining room is part of an open space in the main living area. I created zones for each space to delineate between the dining space and living space. Such as necessary in city living where any given rooms serves multiple uses.
