DIY Lucite Gem Garland for Kids' Room

A small project that adds just enough sparkle. I found these lucite gems at Target during the holidays and knew they would complement my daughter’s blush pink desk area. I used twine to blend into the woodland mural, though ribbon, cord, or fishing line would work just as well.

The Process

1. Remove strings from gems.

2. Thread a gem onto your garland string and secure at the center point. (I’m using a 70” length of twine.)

3. Tie a double knot to secure the gem in place.

4. Place additional gems in 6 inch increments. Secure with a double knot.
